Artemesia is a silver-grey foliage, like that of dusty miller, but has more height. During late summer it has yellow flowers. Artemesia also has a strong sage scent.
Asclepais tuberosa, or perennial butterfly weed, adds great color and texture and is long-lasting in arrangements.
Baptisia is a spring perennial wildflower with a pea-like flower. It has a unique seed pod which starts off green then turns almost black. We have both the baptisia flowers and then later (in June) we have the baptisia seed pods which are very unusual in an arrangement.
Birch branches are typically cut in the winter or very early spring with no leaves on them. But they can also be cut fully leafed out when in season. The branches themselves are a beautiful reddish brown color with an unusual marking on them.
We can grow callas during the winter in the greenhouses for Valentine’s Day all the way through Mother’s Day, and usually into June before it gets too hot. We grow yellow, white, orange, red, and pink calla lilies.
